Lucky Dragons - Mekanik Kantatik - Konono N°1

Lucky Dragons - Mekanik Kantatik - Konono N°1

Electrifying diversions, acoustic extravagances and dancing frenzy from Congo to Los Angeles.

From Congo to Marseille passing via Los Angeles, this evening's musicians grab their instruments, dissect them and draw out completely new sounds.
Through electroshock neo-folk melodies, the Californian Lucky Dragons invited us to experience sound - mixing images, videos, jerky dance and performance.
Mekanik Kantatik explores the entrails of his acoustic piano by grafting on samplers and other electronic machines to help better reveal its musical potential.
Finally, for almost 40 years, and borrowing largely from trance music, the Congolese Konono n°1 have been producing a novel kind of electro-traditional music. In order to mask Kinshasa's street sounds, they have installed a tailored amplification system for their traditional instruments and the set of everyday objects in their orchestra.  Their career has led them to accompany the Icelandic singer Bj√∂rk and to set London's Barbican Museum aflame, for the benefit of all the world's dancers.

Fully booked.
